Netflix has unveiled the teaser trailer for The Residence, an upcoming whodunnit series starring Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), and Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl).

Set to premiere on the streamer on March 20, 2025, The Residence is created by former Scandal writer and producer Paul William Davies, with Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes serving as one of the executive producers.

The newly released teaser trailer opens with Aduba’s Cordelia Cupp, a Metropolitan Police Department consultant who’s sure a murderer is just around the corner after a White House chief usher’s dead body (portrayed by Esposito) was found during a state dinner.

Though dubbed “the best detective in the world,” the investigation proves to be difficult for Cordelia as she roams around 132 rooms while investigating a total of 157 suspects.

Netflix has unveiled a teaser for Shonda Rhimes' “The Residence,” a new eight-episode whodunnit set to premiere March 20.

“This could be someone from the staff. Could be a guest — could be anybody,” Aduba’s Cordelia suggests.
